Today, this musical instrument has a profound influence on music cultures around the world, especially, since the introduction of the electric guitars in the 1930s. Facts about the guitar The guitar is a plucked string instrument, usually played with fingers or a pick. The guitar consists of a body with a rigid neck to which the strings, generally six in number but sometimes more, are attached. Guitars are traditionally constructed of various woods and strung with animal gut or, more recently, with either nylon or steel strings. Some modern guitars are made of polycarbonate materials. Guitars are made and repaired by luthiers. There are two primary families of guitars: acoustic and electric.

 There are many reasons that some people understand and learn guitar quicker than other people. For me it took me years to finally feel comfortable with a guitar and some people I know instantly picked up the skill. One thing to do is not give up. Even if you feel like you wanna punch a wall because your finger wont stretch to that string don't give up your fingers will stretch. Sadly the guitar is not something that your gonna be amazing at after a week, but its not impossible either. A lot of videos I have seen are just frustrating because the people in the videos are trying to show you there way and not the easy way. Even though their are some terrible videos out there theres also some great videos. I believe that if you stick it out and keep trying them chords you can't get you will get there. Its not uncommon either to give up, im sure many of you know someone who bought a top of the range guitar and told you how they where getting lessons and six weeks later throw the guitar away and find a new hobby. I believe you must learn first how to be comfortable with a guitar before you decide to take it to the next level. I hope the things on this site can help you learn the guitar basics.
